• SsangYong announces the launch of its first EV for the first half of 2021
  • Mid-sized SUV with space and versatility, and an all-new design approach along with market focused features

SsangYong Motor has teased its first EV (electric vehicle) with the release of a sneak-preview image.

SsangYong EV E100

Developed under the project name of E100, the image of the all-new EV ahead of its launch next year graphically expresses

its exterior design. This mid-sized family car with comparable living space and versatility adopts a new approach to body design,

while utilising new materials to maximise efficiency.

The overall design is based on a voluminous yet aerodynamic outline, with a style optimised for urban driving. For maximised

energy efficiency, the car is fitted with an all-aluminium engine bonnet – a first for SsangYong, along with a sealed  radiator

grille to reduce weight and improve the centre of gravity.

The design is inspired from nature, and especially animals that have adapted to their environment through evolution such

as shark’s fins and the shape of scales to minimise wind and water resistance, thus expressing a design maturity with dynamic style.

This first EV for SsangYong is set to be released in the first half of next year, and expected to bring a significant addition to

the marketplace with a future-focused design for both the interior and exterior, and a new level of product quality.
